I shoot and I listen. Learning about people’s lives has always been integral to my work and to what comes out of my camera.
When I was a teenager, my dad taught me to process and print black and white film in our basement darkroom. Faces and street photography became my passion, and I was lucky enough to have a 25-year career as a news photographer, mostly shooting people. In 2007, I was Journalist of the Year for suburban newspapers across North America.
Now I run my business, O Shoot Photo, and I specialize in faces and light. I still listen.
