About Us
|
Since 1995, TIMELINES Genealogical Research has been working hard to provide their clients with accurate family history research. Requests for genealogical research have been satisfied with full documentation whenever possible.
The experience gleaned during these years has resulted in a methodology that allows us to work with each person, creating a customized project plan that fits their needs.
We take time to listen and have developed a practical system that works.
Our sister company, Your Lasting Legacy, is the result of what our clients have asked us to provide them with. Not everyone has done, or wants to do their family history. However, most families do have very special family memories that they value and want to preserve in one form or another. Every request is a custom project; no two are ever the same.
In so doing, we have expanded and moved our location to accommodate this growth of our company. We invite you to drop by and visit or give us a call with your questions, we look forward to it.

Kathy's background is that of a Commercial Interior Designer with a 33 year career in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Some of her well known clients were:
Unilever Canada; AstraZeneca Canada; Proctor & Gamble; Department of Justice, Ottawa: Good Humour Breyers; Falconbridge Nickel Mines Limited; Menkes Developments Ltd.; The Consilium; The Royal Bank of Canada (North York); RBC Dominion Securities; The Weston Group of Companies; London Life.
After a year of retirement, Kathy joined TIMELINES to assist in the organization and chronological layout of 11 generations of photographs and documents. TIMELINES produced the Ancestral and Descendants Charts used in this very extensive project for a multi-volume family history (which also included a custom designed DVD of the entire collection). The client provided the photographs and a great number of the vital records and other documents used (all of which were encapsulated). The client's family crest was included in each volume as well the century box which accommodates memorabilia which is too large or too heavy to be put into the archival albums. Each volume was inscribed with the client's name. TIMELINES provided a rack to store and display the beautiful leather bound collection. Using her design and organizational expertise, Kathy helped produce a magnificent family heirloom for future generations to enjoy. |

 | Susanna de Groot, Consultant
Susanna de Groot is a first generation Canadian whose parents emigrated from the Netherlands after WWII. As a young girl, she always had the desire to learn about her Dutch ancestors. It was not until 1998, when she purchased her first computer and discovered genealogy on the internet, that the passion for genealogy took hold. Since that time she has devoted her time to learning, researching, writing and educating others in this fascinating field.
Countless hours have been spent researching her Dutch ancestors back to the 1600s. Susanna has traveled to the Netherlands several times to explore the original records of her forebears at various archives. Many volunteer hours were spent researching Ontario records for others before pursuing an education in genealogy. In July 2006, Susanna received her Professional Learning Certificate in Genealogical Studies, Canadian Records.
