Carol Fordyce, Editor and Indexer

Carol Fordyce has been researching her own family history for about thirteen years, and is about to start actually writing four histories, based on the families of her four grandparents.

She has been the editor of Toronto Tree, the newsletter of Toronto Branch, Ontario Genealogical Society. Also for Toronto Branch, she prepared the Syllabus for Seminar 2004, the annual conference of the Ontario Genealogical Society.

To prepare her for editing family histories, in addition to her experience in the field of genealogy, Carol has spent many years in publishing, with responsibilities in various aspects of that business. Most importantly, she spent fourteen years in-house as a book editor, and then many years in the Ontario Ministry of Education, where her task for twelve years was managing a program that developed and published assessment materials for elementary and secondary schools. Although currently "retired", she is still working freelance as an editor and indexer.

Carol's work on Loyal Ties, shows her talent and capabilities as an Indexer/Proofreader/Editor and we are thrilled that she is a member of our team. She is looking forward to working with your Family History to give it the professional touch.
